The FAA first occupied two Air Traffic Control Support Buildings in October 1998.   About four years after the tower support buildings were completed, cracking began to develop in certain sections of the floor.   Some of the cracks were severe with vertical displacements exceeding ½ inch.   HCN was retained to investigate the problem and to recommend a plan for correcting distress in the floor.
